HRBR Consultant Dermatologist, Dr Dmitri Wall and Professor Rod Sinclair, Professor of Dermatology at the University of Melbourne have developed a patient database to record and study the outcomes of patients suffering from hair loss and who have contracted Covid-19.
Researchers have suggested that some of the treatments used in patients suffering from hair loss may result in better outcomes for those who have contracted Covid-19. More data is needed to determine if this is true. In order to gather this data Dr Wall and Professor Sinclair have teamed up with a large network of hair loss specialists throughout the world to create a global registry of patients who have suffered from both conditions. The aim of the database is to collect information on the patient’s hair loss condition, the effects of Covid-19 on the patient and whether the two may be linked.
All data included on the database is anonymous. Find out more about what’s involved in the study SECURE Alopecia Patient Information.
If you are a HRBR patient or you have yet to attend and are suffering from hair loss and have tested positive for Covid-19 and would like to assist with this research please contact the team at HRBR on email@example.com or 00353 1 209 1000 for further information.
